Thank the Lord its Friday

Woo....sooo its been a long time since I have posted. I have been a very very busy "housewife" lol. From my Tuesday Coffees days (that start at 1000 AM and do not end until almost 1400 (AKA 2:00 pm) To hanging out and getting a "new" wardrobe with my friends Christie and Gina. They agree with the Husband and my friends from high school that I have a "banging body but dress like a 40 year old mom" (those are the words from Eric and the high school friends lol) I must say I'm liking what I am starting to see. ;-)


Gina made me throw away my gray with pink strip sweater I wear EVERYWHERE!!! It had a huge hole in the sleep at the wrist and it had a few minor stains. But....I got a few new cardigans in return.

Yesterday in fact, we went to Marshals (I have never been to a Marshals) and I got two new sandals (with a cute little heel) for $20.00. Yes I said I got TWO!!!! And they are totally CUTE!!!!!


Today we were suppose to go and find a few new tops, buttttt....I wasn't feeling so hot. I think I might be coming down with a cold. :-( Booooooo


Well my Mary Kay order that I had to place before the 1st of May with a wholesale order of $200.00 was a success. I was able to go over that which I was totally stoked about and I have already received the order. So now I have to just mail it out to all my lovely customers. ;-)


Looks like tonight is gonna be a "date night" with my handsome husband!!! ;-) I will post pics of the ugly sweater and the shoes.

Friday April 9, 2010 "365 Days of the Banegas's" This is Eric's bathroom. Scooby-Doo themed. Those are puzzles we worked on together. The other items in here such as the towels and the containers are the same colors as the Mystery Machine. ;-) (Eric is a huge Scooby Fan. Allie and Scooby are of the same breed.


Thursday April 8, 2010 "365 Days with the Banegas's" My name tag for Macy's ;-)


Wooohooo I'm sorry I hadn't kept up with the pictures of the day for y'all. It was a bit of a stressful week. I did take them, I just never uploaded them.

Saturday and Sunday and today I was in the mood to rearrange furniture and do some deep cleaning. Spring Cleaning. I do this every so many weeks. I don't know why, but I always have an urge to move things around lol.

I sat today in my "alone" time (I make sure I put aside a part of the day all to myself everyday) I put Allie and Lillie outside, I make sure I have time before Eric gets home, and I turn off all the noise in the house. Sometimes I read a part of my bible or one of my spiritual books. And then sometimes I just sit and talk to God. Today I talked a little and I read a little and I started to sing one of my favorite songs "Open the Eyes of My Heart, Lord." I catch myself humming this song or singing it in my head or aloud several times throughout the day and the week. Its just an uplifting song. Ah and now I'm singing it again. ;-)

I'm still in Anger at Cancer. I am still praying for the Navy Officer's wife, and I would like to ask all of you to keep her in your prayers as well. I haven't met her yet, but I know that the Navy office is one heck of a man and I'm sure his wife is too. This is her second time to battle it. God is Good!

I have been catching up on Grey's Anatomy. They show three episodes on Lifetime everyday. It is now in the series of last March/April. Izzy (who is my favorite on the show) is finding out she has cancer. I still think its a terrible thing. And I hate it more and more everyday.

A new Recipe...Easy to make...

So first of all I pulled this completely out of my behind lol. I wanted something pizza, but not pizza. So I made up this and I'm gonna call it just "pizza rolls" Its really easy to make and it was mighty good. I was really impressed.

Ok Ok so it wasn't completely out of my behind. I had something kinda similar to this a long while back at "California Pizza Kitchen" It looked alot different, and theirs had more cheese and no sauce. I used the croissant rolls, hunts tomato sauce, pepperoni, and then just plan cheese. It was really good. Mister had two servings. I only had one, but thats because I had a bowl of fruit I really really wanted to eat lol.

As you can tell it is really easy to make. It was a little messy and next time I know what to do a little different. Your welcome to try it and make changes to it. Like I said I pretty much made it up after seeing a food at CPK.

I'm Proud of the House We Built

Wow what a week this has been. It was a stressful one at that. From Eric having a terrible day, Black-Jack (my car) being sick, to being told Wednesday that my job at Macy's is a "part-time" job to being told today its only an "on call" job. So basically that means they will call me when they need me. So I'm back on the search for another job. Here goes nothing I guess.

I read on a facebook friend's status that she is running a 5k for abused children in the city she is currently living in. I thought "wow, she just makes me want to be a better person, how can I be the change to be a better person like her." I think she is a fantastic lady! She is actually who talked me into, or suggested I get a blog started. She is one special lady.

I opened a bank account with Bank of America. I haven't done that in forever. The ladies were really nice. Very welcoming. Made me feel like home. I have "online" banking. LOL The woman who got me started laughed at the fact that I am so young and I never used online banking haha. I told her I banked with a credit union in a small town and they just got debit cards like a year ago. haha

Do you have that one thing that makes you happy? That one thing that makes your day or week better? What is it? Mine is COUNTRY MUSIC! The song I needed to hear today was "Proud of the House We Built" by Brooks and Dunn. Ah...I love love love those men. haha I hope you have a "something" that makes everything better for you!!

Taco Tuesdays!!!!

April 5, 2010 picture "365 Days of the Banegas's" I made my second loaf of homemade wheat bread. This time I wanted a taste of cinnamon in it. I added a tablespoon to the ingredients and you really can't taste it. So the next loaf I make I will put in 3 tablespoons. ;-) This was taken two hours after it was made. It is half finished already in this picture haha. I must be real good at this. ;-)

Tuesday was a CRAZY Day from start to finish. First about 2 am, I find my bathroom flooded because of the toilet. I get the water cleaned up and I manage to get the water stopped from running. Well then a little later Allie needed to go out and Eric took her out. After he walked in the bathroom to go, and he found more water flooded and the toilet running. He was sooo good. He cleaned up the water and turned off the toilet. (Mind you when I went to bed after I had cleaned it all up the first time, I woke up Eric to tell him and to let him know not to use the front bathroom) Of course he doesn't listen haha. He claimed later when he got home that he doesn't remember me waking him up.


Well at 0505 Eric got a phone call from another Marine stating that he was late for PFT. Eric is NEVER LATE mind you. No one gave him word that he had PFT. So he hurried on out the door without even shaving...booo Thankfully he didn't get in trouble. But he missed the push ups and the pull ups but of course he made it on time for the run. Boooo

He came home after to shower up and take a rest before having to go back at 0800. He kissed me goodbye (I'm always still asleep as he is leaving so he NEVER kisses me bye and today I was asleep as usual haha) SCARES the living out of me and he leaves laughing his ass off! What a dork right.

I had a coffee morning with a few other wives. It started at 10 and I didn't get home til almost 12 haha. It was a ton of fun, but I missed lunch with Eric. :-(

Lillie rebroke the fence that Allie already had and she got in trouble and had to go to the kennel for the evening. :-(

When Eric got home he sat and we finally got to talk for a little bit. He told me more about today and this morning that I wasn't really awake for. He told me that some IDIOT HIT him on his way back to work just before 0800. I was like WHAT?? I ran out to the car (before letting Eric finish telling me about the hit) and looked at it. He then told me that he was able to use his "SKILLS" and get out of the way so it wasn't that bad. It isn't, it is just a scratch by the rear left tire. THANK GOD! I was gonna track someone down lol.

The evening was better then his morning. The housing office came out 30 minutes after I called and adv. them of the flood. They were really good! I was impressed. Eric took me to get some new ''work'' clothes. Because I have NONE! lol. Such a sweetheart!!

Life is good. God is Good!! I have to keep telling myself that. A "friend" that is in the Navy and is living here as well (he is an officer and I met him before the Ball on the plane and he has helped give me some info) his wife has just been diagnosed with Cancer for the 2nd time in two years. :-( I hate CANCER! It is a very scary and ugly thing in this world. And Cancer always makes me test God which I know I shouldn't do, but sometimes you just ask Why? So again, God is Good!!

We are hoping for a Happy WEDNESDAY!! I am going to get my tricare taken care of and get to the doctor to check my chest, and get my yearly physical. Things like cancer make me think about myself and decided to make sure I'm doing good and healthy.

GOD IS SOOOOO GOOD!!!

Monday...Oh Monday...

I got to thinking today because I was asked again "how is married life?" I laugh every time I'm asked and then I reply with "Oh its great. We are doing great." But after asked again today I thought about married life. When we first got married Eric had to come back to California without me for about a month and a half. I stayed back home and lived as though nothing really changed but my last name. (Now I didn't go out every night, I didn't flirt, I didn't do anything that "single" girls do.) But I did hang out with the girls from work or always hanging out with Letty and her family. When I was finally able to move and life and start a life with Eric I realized what Married Life was really like. You can't go out with the girls every night or you can't hang out with someone else's family. You have to stay home and be a wife and a family to your husband. You learn its time to grow up! Now I totally love life. I love being a wife. I love cooking, cleaning, baking, doing laundry, you know the whole works. I wouldn't trade it for the world. But married life is about growing up learning who you are, who your husband is. seeing what life has in store for the two of you. Its fun, exciting and scary all at the same time.

I couldn't upload today's picture, but I will soon. Its a picture of a piece of bread haha. I say a piece because it was a homemade loaf, and now its just a piece. haha. I made it again today a new loaf and it is already more then halfway finished. I guess it sure is good.

Easter Weekend

This is Sunday's April 4, 2010 picture for the "365 Days of the Banegas's" Its our Easter meal. I would long and hard on this meal and it was a fantastic meal. I'm the new Martha Stewart only 20x better.

And then Friday's April 2, 2010 "365 Days of the Banegas's" I found Allie on Lillie's small bed all rolled up to be on the bed lol. She is a big girl.

Easter weekend was a fun weekend. Saturday we "Spring Cleaned" the house. Haha did I say "we" I meant "I" haha At the end of the day I kinda started the cooking for Saturday. I boiled all my eggs and I made my pecan pie. I also made my first homemade bread and well it is now gone! So I guess it was good (I didn't get to try it)

Sunday Eric and I made it (late but we made it) to 10 am mass. It was a good one and so was the homily. I really got alot out of today's. I always feel just oh so good when I come out of church. Its really a great feeling.

As soon as we got back to the house I threw on my apron and I went to work in the kitchen. Dinner was finally ready a little after two. And we ate some good food. We watched the movie "Brothers" it was a really good movie. Very sad. Kinda scary. After the movie we played a little bit of Wii and then it was time for everyone to go home and Eric to start his homework and reality that tomorrow is Monday was beginning to sink in. :-(

Oh by the by...I did get a call from Macy's I landed a part time job. Super stoked. (Have I mentioned how much I love love love Macy's?? lol)

I have two more loads of laundry to fold and put up so this Easter weekend is coming to an End. I am off to crab a piece of yummy Pecan Pie ;-)

Holy Thursday

So I had this picture for today, but my computer is messing up so I am unable to upload it. I will try again tomorrow. But I will tell you what the picture is. Its a picture of my EASTER TABLE. Yes I said my EASTER TABLE. I bought a cute table cloth that has Easter Eggs on it. I then put up all my zebra print dishes and I pulled out my fancy china (it is springy china if you ask me) and I put it all together for a spring display well an Easter display. Totally Cute. I can't wait to show you!

I think I have finally figured out my sleeping habits. The later I stay up, the earlier I wake up. If I go to sleep before 1 am I will most likely sleep in until about 11. If I stay up past 1 am I am most likely to wake up about 9 am. Totally odd, but whatever. As long as I'm up during the beautiful time of the day I am good. ;-)

So I got the car today after noon. I went to the post office and sent a gift to my MIL. Its a gift from Eric, but you know I have to take care of EVERYTHING lol. ;-) I don't mind let me add! After I went to the post office I made my way to TARGET!! My favorite store ever!! I got the finishing touches to Eric's bathroom. ;-) So Allie is a GREAT DANE, Her cousin lol Scooby Doo is a GREAT DANE as well. So I found 3 puzzles of Scooby Doo and I completed them and glued them. Then I framed them. At Target I got colors of towels, the trash can, the soap dispenser, and the toothbrush holder that match the colors of the mystery van (machine). Well it is all complete, well except hanging of the puzzles. But it looks good!!

Then I went to KOHLS. My second love. The theme in my bathroom is Brown and Blue and SEASHELLS. (or the beach) I have a vase that I have started to collect seashells when I go to the beach. At Kohls I bought two candle stands that look like seahorses and two green candles that smell oh so good!! I bought a few wall hangings that have a picture of a seashell and a cute little quote. I'm so very proud of my cute bathrooms. Our bedroom is complete. The bathrooms are complete. I still need the guest bedroom and the office. The kitchen is so so. and the Dining room is coming along as well. Slowly but surly my house is becoming a home. I think I make a GREAT homemaker. Well I have to I am CEO of the housewives lol...totally jk.

Well Monday when I had met a few new wives at the wife meeting they all went crazy and added me via facebook. As I start to go through their pages, I want to shoot myself. One girl at the end of every status she states "living the Semper Fi life" I was like wth, omg. haha. Now yes I am for supporting my husband and I get a little motivated, but not like that. That is just silly. Just silly.

Well that was my day. It was busy compared to others ahaha. Hopefully I hear something from Macy's tomorrow. I still don't know how I feel about it. We shall see though. ;-)

Wednesday (What a Great Day To Be Alive)

So I said yesterday that today I would start my "365 Days of the Banegas's" Well here is today's picture. March 31, 2010 I have been glued to the tv for the past two days watching Martha Stewart. In this episode she was making a clothes pin bag to hang on the clothes line. I thought it was pretty nifty. She also showed how to make your own clothes line...I just might do it...



So on Wednesdays we usually have spaghetti, and I have called it Letty Spaghetti Wednesday. Before moving out here almost every week I was enjoying a fantastic spaghetti dinner at Letty's house with her and her family. Today...we had CHEESE PIZZA. I had an interview today with Macy's. It went really well and they said the will call on Friday. We will see how well it actually went. After the interview I made my way up to base to pick up Eric. He said "be here by five I should be finished then." Well no...he didn't get to the car until after SIX. He has had to pt this whole week. He said he has enjoyed it, but today he was tired. So instead of going to the commissary like planned to get meat for the spaghetti he wanted me to order PIZZA haha.

At the interview I met another wife. She is a Navy wife. But she was totally awesome and totally sweet. We exchanged phone numbers (I'm guessing she is like me and doesn't have many friends out here either haha) I'm always up for meeting new people.

Sooo...my favorite flower is a WHITE CALLA LILLY. Well they grow out here in all my neighbors and all around the post houses like WEEEDDSSS. Except for my yard. I have been thinking about going to a vacant house and stealing a few from the yard and planting in mine haha. Or I might just call the front office and ask how I can get some. ;-) (I had these flowers at my wedding. Yes they were silk and fake, but still pretty and looked real.
