Taco Tuesdays...

So it has been far to long since I have posted last. I need to keep up better with this. Well we are completely settled in our new home. When you drive by, you think "omg what is that" but once inside and once your living it grows on you. The outside doesn't look like much, but its home. I've been told that the other bases have better housing and we are only here until December so...I can live.

Tuesdays=Tacos. Except for this week. I usually always cook Eric his Tacos, but for some reason I was craving pancakes. Haha so we had pancakes and he had a 3egg and cheese omelet. I'll get us back on track next week.

Monday I had a meeting with the Commandant's wife. (He is like sitting up there next to Obama, he is pretty big in the Marine Corps, He is the Top guy) She came mainly to answer any questions that any of the other wives had. (I have plenty of questions, but I'm completely knew and I didn't want to show that I was knew and that I didn't know anything. Most of the wives there were OFFICER wives, and so I would have looked dumb haha) But it was very interesting to listen to and to get some good information I didn't have before. After our meeting was over, I walked outside to the field with a few of the other ENLISTED wives and listened to the Commandant talk to the Marines (I was gonna say our men, but there are some female Marines out there to so that would have been incorrect) He and the Sgt. Major of the Marine Corps were very MOTIVATING!!! OOH RAH!!!!!!

Tomorrow is Wednesday and I have an interview with Macy's. I'm not really nervous. I would really like to work there, only because I totally love love love that store. I can walk around that store four hours upon hours. I just need to find something Cute and nice to wear. I have no clothes. I don't know what I did with all my nice dressy ones. I wonder if a dress would work? I have like 10 of those.

I think I have decided that I want to start a new project to keep everyone interested. I am calling it 365 Days of the Banegas's (I haven't really quiet figured out how to do my last name plural. lol) I will take a picture every day and post it on this BLOG! It sometimes will be just a regular picture, and the other times it will be totally WOW. haha...well see how wow I can get it. I will start the project tomorrow.

Finally Home!!

So as most know I just made a move to be with my husband 3 states away from my family. This was/is a good move, but it is also very sad. I have waited so long to finally be with my husband. But I didn't think it would be so hard to leave behind my friends and my family. I arrived in Seaside, California on February 14th (yes just in time for Valentines Day). By the end of the day with the help of my fantastic mom my house was a home. We live on base and I actually feel safe. I can say I feel safer then I think I would if we lived off base. The neighbors in the connecting home are very nice. They have three kids and beautiful kids at that. The only thing I hate or at least strongly dislike about our home is the fact that we and our connecting neighbors have hard wood floors. These homes were built a long long long time ago. The walls have lead and we were advised to watch for asepsises (I think that is how you spell it). Well with the hard wood floors and thin thin walls you can hear everything!! The two oldest of the kids next door walk and run and talk. When they run, its sounds like they are running from our bedroom to our living room lol. ;-) They are what usually wake me up if the dogs haven't already woken me lol. So far I have loved it here. Well except that it really isn't sunny California. There is lots of cloudy days and I've already had rainy days. I live about two miles from the beach. So that part is really really neat! Even though I've only been four times haha. I'm already starting my job search. Just looking for a part time fun job. And I am looking into taking online classes. Eric is gone from home everyday but the weekend from about 6 am until about 4pm. Live so far is nice. I will upload pictures of the home soon...
