Girls night out?

Yesterday afternoon I got invited by Mrs. C to go to dinner. She is the Church choirs leader (the Church that I have grown up in). In high school I sang with her and the choir every Sunday. Mrs. C and I became very close! I call her my 2nd Mom, and I tell her I am the daughter she never had. (Her two boys are now married and she now has 3 daughters).

She took me to La Casita (my favorite) and we really enjoyed our meal together. It was great talking to her about marriage, the church, and just fun stuff! Its always great to know that she is an always will be there/here for me. 

I wish I would have taken a picture with her, but we will be going out to dinner again before I leave and then I will for sure.

After we ate I went to visit my friends S and M and S's daughter baby Ebs! I make it a point to see certain people everytime I come for a visit and they are always one of them. The wanted me to go out with them and I said yes. As they were getting ready we chatted and just hung out! I ended up not going out with them for a few reasons. The big one being that Eric isn't here to go out with us! I have always thought that once you are married its time to grow up and if you go out for a fun night then you go out together. I believe that if you go out with just the girls your asking for trouble. Of course though I'm not looking for "trouble" when I go out, but why put myself in a "bad" situation? Don't get me wrong, I think girls nights are needed and should be fun, but why go to a bar where there is usually always trouble (at least in this small town I grew up in)? I wouldn't have mind staying in at there house enjoying some girl time with them and listening to music. But I couldn't just tell them this. 

Unfortunately we didn't take pictures last night like I wanted to. But we are suppose to BBQ Sunday so hopefully we will take some pictures! 

I am almost finished going through my moms tote of pictures and putting them in order and in photo albums for her! There is so many of them! I'm exhausted ha!

I ordered my iPhone 4 yesterday and it will be here Monday! I'm a little excited about getting it and owning an iPhone! I've always wanted one, but I've always been on Verizon. Mister is on ATT and I was still on my parents plan with Verizon. I've had my number 1596 since 2003. Yesterday I got an email with my new number and it is so weird! :-( I'm very sad to be losing 1596. I will be joining Misters plan which is smart in a way! Mister wasn't happy with my choice of phone. He says I will break it. But I think I will be very careful with this one. Wish me luck!

Thursday Already?

Wow I really can't believe it is Thursday already! This week has just flown by for me!

 Tuesday I went with Mrs. S, Lil S, and Lil Sis to Midland to run some errands!

This day running around made me very tired and I ended up with a nice headache. It was so bad I didn't even get out of bed to go to the gym Wednesday morning. :-(

Baby V came over Wednesday afternoon to hang out with me for about an hour. I was going through my moms tot of pictures to organize them for her and I found a little picture in a little frame of my Daddy in his Dress Blues at Boot Camp! She took it from me and was walking around holding it and looking at it! So cute!

After she left I headed on over to my Friends Leo and Laura! Vincents Birthday is the 24th and I got him those cars from a few posts back remember? Well I took them to him last night. I think he liked them.

Haha he played with them all night. I was happy that he liked them. We went and ate Chinese food! YAY and it was my treat! Leo and Laura always have taken good care of me so I felt that I should give back! ;-)

I got home a little late haha...ok so like Midnight. I walked up to the door only to see that I was locked out! Ha! I called my mom twice and dad once and noone answered! I called lil Sis and she was staying the night at a friends so I was pretty much SOL hah! I finally just tried to walk around back and luckily that door was open! They called me at lunch today and asked why I called so late! After I told them why Mom then said that Dad "promised" he left it open for me hah! Ah my family! I am really enjoying being home! ;-)

Two Random facts about Me!

1. Can only drink water from a bottle. Yes thats right, if its tap water or well water like at my parents and grandparents house I will not/cannot drink it! It has to be bottled water ha! weird right?

2.  When I am home with Mister I like to sleep pretty much under him or up against him each night on his side of the bed. But when I am somewhere without him I stay on my side of the bed even if I have a bed fully to myself. Totally doesn't make sense!

I know this post is a few hours early ha! This afternoon my friend Arianna came over and hung out with me and lil sis! We played Zumba on the wii and Just Dance 2! We had a total blast! We also watched Pretty Little Liars and ate roast for dinner! (My mom makes the best roast ever! Its 20x better than mine!)

Tomorrow morning I am (still thinking haven't fully decided) on going with my lil sis, her friend, and Sylvia to Midland for a few hours. It would be nice to catch up with Sylvia, but Arianna has a softball game and I said I'd go watch that. I'm a little torn at the moment! She has another game here the 5th of April and I will still be home and I will go to that one, but I said I'd go to this one and I just don't want to disappoint anyone! GRR! 

Well anyway I better log off and go to bed! Its been a pretty long day and I am pretty tired! I hope you all had a GREAT Monday!

Weekend Recap

Hi all, Sorry I've went MIA this weekend! Friday my Aunt picked me up to bring me "home" to visit for a while.

These are a few pictures just outside of Alpine. This last picture is of the Twin Peaks! My favorite picture! 

When I got home I went to the store with my mom and lil sister! We bought something for dinner "something non-meat" ha! After dinner Daddy, lil sister and I went to the movies. We watched "I am Number 4" I totally loved it and tell anyone and everyone to watch it! ;-)

Saturday we woke up and middle lil sister had her senior pictures taken. I can't wait to order some! I can already tell they are going to be GREAT!! 

After we came home and Daddy was working out back on a fence.

The helmet he said he made it because he was board. Ha! Its a Storm Troopers helmet he found in the kids toys at a store and put in the black cover for his eyes to weld. Ha Yes my Daddy loves Star Wars. I went and joined him like I use to when I was growing up. He is a handy man and I sure do miss that about him! He made this BBQ pit:

He made the pit before Thanksgiving. I didn't see it last time I was home because he wasn't working then due to his surgery and I never felt the need to go out to his shop! 

After Mom and middle lil sister and I went to an Alpine High School Baseball game. It brought back memories from when Mister played and I would go watch him! Ha! That was 4 years ago!

Sunday we woke up and went to Sunday Mass! It was nice to see everyone again. As always! I miss my church "family." 

After Mass I went over to Letty's house and got to hang out with her and her daughter for a bit! Which is usually my favorite thing to do! We made St. Pattys Day cupcakes and I didn't take a picture of them. BUMMER!! The were good though! I got home just in time for my Daddys famous hamburgers! I love his hamburgers but I didn't get to finish mine because of this:

Yes my Fur-sister Hiedi decided to BEG for it so I had to share! Ha! I got in trouble after because she is now on a diet! It wasn't my fault that they didn't tell me! Ha

After dinner Mom, lil sister, and I watched Army Wives and Coming Home! We then watched funny youtube videos and lil sister and I finally went to sleep about midnight. (She slept with me last night which I LOVE) HA!

I woke up this morning and went to the gym with my mom and Daddy! Dad plays raquet ball with one of his college professors and mom and I did the treadmill and bikes and a few weights! It was Great work out and I'm glad I went! Whoop Whoop! 

Today lil sister and I have been being bums all day! Ha gotta love it! ;-)

As far as no facebook goes, I am loving it! My phone isn't constantly going off and I have really enjoyed my QT with the Lord! I've also read a few more chapters in my "fun" (I'm reading "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks of course ha) novel. Something I've been wanting to do for a while now but haven't because I was distracted by facebook. Ha! It looks like I won't be going back to Facebook after Lent! Whoop whoop for me! ;-)

My errands...

Most women do the daily errands during the normal "work" hours of the day. I unfortunatly  (Ha not really unfortunatly) run my errands after hours, after I have fed Mister at around 6-7pm. And this evening I did just that! 

I started with a trip to Target to buy some "sheer" nude pantyhose for my trip to El Paso, and also a birthday present for a handsome 1 year old.

This is myself and Vincent who is turning 1 on Marhc 24th. This was taken in June 2010 when Mister and I made a trip home.

And this fire truck and the car below are the toys I bought him. His Momma said he liked cars and things that make noise. Well these are both! haha. ;-) And the Fire truck lights up! Really neat!!

Last week I was talking with my grandmother and we were talking about riding our bikes around since the gas prices are so out of whack because the Middle East is so messed up! Anyway, I was telling her that last year Mister bought me a basket to put on the front of it for when I run errands. She asked if I could find her one and bring it to her when I go home. I found a white one. And I'm in love with it! I totally want the white one (I have a black one that is the exact same). Maybe I can switch them tomorrow. Ha!

I also ran to the bank to deposit a few checks. Can I just say I love our banks and the fact that you can deposit a check through the ATM at ANY time! It really helps with my "late" errand runs!

I usually sneak a trip to Starbucks or sonic to get myself a little treat but I needed to get home early to spend some QT with Mister before tomorrow and I remembered I also made some yummy pudding yesterday! But when I got home, the pudding was GONE and Mister was already in bed. Note: I got home about 8 ha!

Well I'm off to join him in the world of our dreams! I actually love to lay next to him and watch him sleep. Its really comforting!

Day 1

Ok so today is day 1 that I have fully been off of Facebook. Yesterday I posted my last status just informing everyone that I was deleting it. This morning I logged on real quick and deleted it! Whew that felt GREAT!

To say that I feel "lonely" and "out of the loop" is an understatement. But at the same time I feel and I have gotten a lot more done today then I normally do, due to my facebook distraction. I got up to email Mister his Bio for work. Then I made a pot of coffee. I got dressed for the day and I had a Marine wife  friend come over for a quick little Mary Kay facial. I went into the facial class not expecting to "make a sell" but I came out of it selling more then 30 dollars. Talk about AWESOME!

After the facial I took these pictures:

This picture was taken before I put on my make up. Lately (well for over a year now) I rarely wear make up. I usually only do when I have a special occasion such as the Ball or a date with Mister or going out with the girls. All of which happen few and far between.

This was taken right after I put on my make up. I decided to put it on today just for the fun of it. Which is your favorite?

After I took the two pictures I did go to lunch with Mrs. C and her kiddos. We went to Olive Garden (my favorite). I got the soup, salad, and breadsticks. I honestly already forgot what kind of soup it was I got this time but it was a new try, and it was super yummy!!

When I got home I then got right on my scrapbooking. I also did 2 (all) loads of laundry. I've also packed for my trip to home, Sea World, and El Paso! As I am sitting here I have taken a break from my scrapbooking. But I have already done three pages! I have a few more I'd like to get done before I leave tomorrow so I hope I can get that done!

Can you tell that I miss facebook. I miss updating my status to whats on my mind or what I'm doing hah! I hope I get over this and I hope at the end of Lent I don't feel the need to get back on facebook! PRAY for me please!!

Oh and also real quick, head on over to read about Megan's Story! She just got some really GREAT news!! ;-) I'm super happy for her! Hers and her husbands road has been very bumpy and I think she could use more prayers! ;-)

Ash Wednesday

A quick post that I'm sure I will "edit" when I get home this afternoon.

I'm giving up Facebook to read more books for the Lent season. More daily devotional books and more "fun" books. In this time I will also be going "home" to visit my family for a few weeks. So this blog and my email will be my only internet "fun." I'm hoping that at then end of the Lent season I will not want/need Facebook. Today I posted my last status saying this and how to reach me if they don't have my phone number. Tomorrow I'm going in (or possibly tonight) to "delete" it. I'm sure this is going to be a little hard since I'm always on facebook, but I will be very proud of myself to stay off of it! A few don't think I can do it which of course discourages me, but a few are proud and that is what lifts me up to do this. I'm a little excited about it because I have my email sent to my cell phone which for my Mary Kay and other reasons I love, but I get EVERY Notification from facebook on my cell and when I wake up in the morning I have over 20 emails. I will be excited to not have so many when I wake up and for my phone to not be going off all the time!

I'm going to Ash Wednesday mass with my friend Carrie and her family on base at 1130. I'm hoping that Mister will join us! I sent him a text to let him know that I will be there. This is one of my favorite seasons/Holidays! I love EASTER and everything about it! I think I'm going to take down my St. Pattys decor today also and put up my Easter hehe. ;-)
